The Senior Program Specialist (Project Manager) is responsible for the management of projects, projects they may be assigned as a Project Managers of a specific work package(s) within the larger project.
When managing projects, they will be solely responsible for the Planning, Execution and Monitoring & Control of the project with specific emphasis on managing the customer, contract management, project finances and reporting out to the business. Where they are responsible for a work package on a project, they will coordinate the above responsibilities with the Project Director.
Regardless of project category, whilst engaged on a project, the Project Manager is required to provide support, task direction and tracking of the assigned direct reports, supporting functions and sub-contractors. This support will consist of administrative tasks, forecasting, planning, risk management, quality management, change order management, subcontract progress payment certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Management
Overall responsibility for completing assigned projects or work packages.
Ensures on time delivery of projects, within scope and with zero or positive deviation.
Implement all applicable aspects of the HBS Project Management Methodology during the execution of projects using Project Vision.
Maintain a comprehensive Risk & Opportunity Schedule throughout the project life cycle.
Maintain an effective project documentation process to support extension of time claims, change order management and progress claims
Undertake site management of installation & commissioning activities involving direct resources, subcontractors and 3rd parties including the customer.
Health, Safety and Statutory Compliance
Ensure applicable local and industry codes and standards are upheld.
Ensures that Honeywell SOPs are adhered to.
Drive for a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training, and monitoring.
Cost & Finance
Maintain a work breakdown structure (WBS) throughout the project life cycle.
Ensure that the Estimate to Complete (ETC) includes all outstanding contracted works and that the Estimate at Completion (EAC) is reviewed each month.
Work with Integrated Supply Chain to ensure all Post Award Savings are reflected in the Gross Margin.
Provide accurate forecasts for revenue and GM to the business.
Maintain unbilled receivables monthly for total jobs managed and be responsible for meeting or exceeding working capital plan (for your assigned Projects).
Schedule
Maintain a Program of Works throughout the project life cycle.
Effectively manages assigned resources to maintain productivity and achieve practical completion on the project.
Work with Integrated Supply Chain to ensure materials are available at site as required to maintain the program.
Coordinate the activities of sub-contractors to ensure they have sufficient resources to maintain the program of works.
Technical
Coordinate the technical requirements of the project with the Engineering Leader to ensure the final solution meets the requirements of the specification.
Drive lower cost to serve through value Engineer and use of GES.
MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical), Management, Business/Administration or a similar field.- Proven experience and knowledge in Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Preferably 7 years of experience in full cycle Project Management (mid to large scale projects) for both Private and Public sectors. (BMS Healthcare project experience is an advantage)
- Resilience: Able to thrive in a high pressure environment and handle multiple stakeholders externally and internally.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with the local and international teams within the company.

- Experience and/or knowledge of the following systems: IBMS (Intelligent Building Management System), Fire Alarm System, ELV System, Networking and Server Operating System, Security Access System, Forge Analytics Engine.
- Financial Skills - The ability to understand financial data at contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved.
- Operational Analysis – The ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about those issues and recognize trends/possible cause-effect relationships.
- Contract Management - The ability to read a contract and identify the relevant clauses that will have a potential impact on Honeywell’s ability to deliver the projects with zero or positive deviation and positive working capital.
