Position Overview:
As a Regional Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our client's manufacturing operations within the region. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, cost control measures, and operational excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and traveling to other plants during audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage manufacturing operations across multiple facilities within the region to achieve production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing training and development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including supply chain, engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance, to drive operational excellence and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability within the manufacturing teams.
- Prepare and present regular reports on manufacturing performance, including production metrics, cost analysis, and operational efficiency.
- As this is a regional role, successful candidates must be amenable to travel to other Asia sites/plants, especially during audits to make sure it runs smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics.
- Proven experience of 8 to 10 years as an operational leader in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus, and ISO qualifications will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and workforce allocation, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their full potential.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute plans to achieve long-term objectives.
