Job Descripton:
- Develop expert knowledge of key AFC competitions.
- Provision of detailed media market reports to support strategic market by market media sales planning.
- Help determine rights segmentation and programming packaging approach to achieve optimum sales outcome.
- Provide refinancing calculations and identify value and impact of AFC competitions within specific markets.
- In conjunction with the sales planning team, develop high quality market sales plans and strategies using market research data.
- Develop cutting edge sales presentations.
- Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with key media and broadcasting clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle in appointed markets from prospecting to contracting.
- Create commercial strategies on a market by market basis.
- Liaise with internal Business Intelligence personnel on research requirements for the provision of meaningful and market specific insights.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Other responsibilities as directed by the SVP Media Sales from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- 6-8 years of experience in the sports media and marketing business selling premium sports media rights globally.
- Previous experience in a media sales or media partnerships role.
- Outstanding understanding of media landscapes and competitor environment (broadcasters, platforms, digital players, telcos).
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing sales agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
- Strong relationship builder who is comfortable operating across multiple markets.
- Highly attuned to cultural differences and nuances with outstanding inter-personal skills.
- Experience in the APAC region is a must.
- Flexibility to undertake extensive international travel (mostly within APAC region).
- Fluent in spoken and written English, and Japanese language is an advantage.
