Responsibilities
- Assist the occupier of the worksite to identify any unsafe condition or unsafe work practice which is carried out in the worksite
- Recommend and assist the occupier of the worksite to implement reasonable and practical measures to ensure a safe work condition
- Advise and liaise with Project Manager and construction team on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and ensure that work activities are carried out according to agreed methods
- Ensure that remedial actions are carried out to rectify any unsafe acts and conditions
- Assist in the investigations and reporting of accidents/incidents and recommend preventive and corrective measures
- Ensure compliance to statutory regulations, code of practice, client’s requirement and the Company’s safety rules and regulations
- Conduct training for worksite safety & health and training activities
- Assist the project team to review the method statements and risk assessments
- Monitor the worksite HSE performance
Requirements
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health
- At least 3 years’ experience in similar capacity in the main contractor construction industry
- Candidate who possess Confined Space Safety Assessor Certificate will have an added advantage
- Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
