Description
- Assist the Assistant Finance Manager in areas of project function and accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Verify and closely follow-up on project progress not limited to billings, cost committed and incurred against budget, ensuring its aligned with actual progress work done/completed (POC)
- Ensure timely submission and data hygiene of Project Status of Work (SOW) submitted
- Identify and highlight any potential risk of cost overruns to management
- Prepare consolidated monthly financial Project progress reporting to management
- Prepare various closing-related reports and ensure schedules are submitted in a timely manner
- Release Project Billings/invoice in SAP and monitor/track for the receivables/ incoming funds.
- To review the unbilled receivables to ensure to project to bill up to the work done at all times.
- Coordinate with respective Project Managers on the rolling forecast and forecast billings.
- Coordinate with respective departments on the Notice of Closure (NOC) for inactive/closed projects
- Coordinate the necessary departments on the NOA and budget release
- Assess the project cashflows and highlight areas of concern
- Oversee the monthly closing activities for 1-2 business units
- Liaise with external and internal auditors on all audit related matters
- Other ad hoc assignments
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting or Professional Accounting Qualification
- At least 5 years relevant working experience in the same capacity.
- Proficient in SAP will be an added advantage.
- Meticulous and keen eye for details; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Committed, confident personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and work within required deadline.
- Working experience in construction or Oil and Gas environment will be an added advantage.
- Willing to work in Tuas area (Transport provided at Boon Lay, Jurong East, CCK and Serangoon.
