The Position:
- Support supply chain projects, and business contingency projects; duties include planning and execution of lab trials
- Responsible for managing inventory and keeping sufficient stock of raw materials, ingredients, lab consumables and packaging materials across the natural center
- Ensure lab equipment are calibrated, maintained and in operational status
- Maintain lab equipment including liaison with suppliers and internal departments for repair and servicing
- Assist team in preparation of sensory validations, and general lab work
- Assist with disposal of waste materials, chemicals and raw materials safely according to internal EHS guidelines
- Assist with collection of parcels, packing & arrangement of samples for despatch
- Assist in basic testing of products, e.g. pH, brix etc
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor degree in Applied Science, Chemistry or its equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience will be preferred
- Be a safety advocate for yourself and the team
- Knowledge and handling of chemicals will be advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites especially Excel
- Good communication skills
- Meticulous and detailed-oriented
