Role Overview:
As the Deputy General Manager (IT) for the Singapore office, you will be responsible for overseeing three key pillars of IT: infrastructure, applications, and automation. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our IT capabilities to support the company's operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Lead and manage the Infrastructure team consisting of 4-5 personnel.
- Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the company's IT infrastructure.
- Oversee network operations, server management, and data center activities.
Application Management:
- Supervise the Application team responsible for SAP and other business applications.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance application performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Drive the implementation of new applications and upgrades to meet business requirements.
Automation and Business Process Management (BPM):
- Work closely with the Business side DGM and the Automation team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilize SharePoint and other automation tools to optimize workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong connections with Business Units (BUs) to understand their IT needs and align IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between IT and various departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Change Management:
- Lead change management efforts related to IT projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate smooth transitions during system implementations, upgrades, and process changes.
- Provide guidance and support to employees to adapt to new technologies and processes.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the IT budget for the Singapore office, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in a leadership role within IT, preferably in a multinational corporation.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure management, application support, and automation technologies.
- Experience with SAP and other enterprise-level applications is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record in change management and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Budget management experience with the ability to optimize resources effectively.
