Team structure
This role is working within the Shipping and Offshore Finance team.

We are consistently instructed by most of the major shipping and offshore oil and gas companies, energy service companies, shipyards, insurers, international group of P&I clubs, commodity companies, sponsors, lenders, arrangers and private equity providers.
Main responsibilities
- The candidate will be part of our finance department and predominantly handling a combination of ship finance transactions and some corporate matters.
- As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on market-leading, high-profile deals.

- This role will suit an ambitious and enthusiastic lawyer with good communication skills and an interest in growing his/her technical expertise, who would enjoy the challenge of an exciting and growing practice area.
Attributes / skills required
The successful candidate should have the following:
- Experience: NQ to 1 year PQE, SG-qualified, preferably trained with a reputable mid or large Singaporean law firm
- Finance and/or Corporate experience is important
- Must be lateral thinker and independent
- Experience with drafting or reviewing of financing or leasing documentation
- Experience of negotiating the terms of transaction documents or an interest in doing so and a basic understanding of typical terms that are open to negotiation
- Responsibility for transaction management and administration, including liaison with key client contacts and local counsel
- Conducting legal research using internal and external knowledge management resources
- Able to work independently and have good legal drafting, presentation and analytical skills
- Good research skills and a natural interest in legal and commercial developments.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethics and good interpersonal skills.
