Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
- Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly management account annual financial statements (group and company)
- Responsible for accounting processes and tasks which includes GL, account reconciliation, schedule maintenance etc.
- Preparation of Annual Income Tax
- Coordinate and liaise with internal department members to support all accounting reporting and operation matters
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities as and when required
- Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/WHT/CIT), audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
- Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
- Participate in ad-hoc projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Accountant or in a related role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements and financial analysis techniques
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
