As a Credit Risk Analyst specializing in FX and Options products, you will play a crucial role in assessing, monitoring, and managing credit risks associated with these financial instruments within a high-performing global securities firm based in Singapore. You will work closely with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective risk management practices and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate counterparty creditworthiness for FX and Options transactions through financial statement analysis, credit scoring models, and market data.
- Determine appropriate credit limits and collateral requirements based on risk assessment findings.
- Develop and maintain risk monitoring tools and dashboards for FX and Options portfolios.
- Prepare regular risk reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements related to credit risk management in FX and Options markets.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Work closely with front-office teams, including traders and sales professionals, to understand business strategies and credit needs.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance risk management processes and systems.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit risk analysis, preferably with a focus on FX and Options products within a global financial institution or securities firm.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, derivative instruments, and risk management principles.
- Proficiency in credit risk modeling, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, MAS regulations, and Dodd-Frank Act.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are advantageous.
