The Event Sales and Guest Relations Officer is responsible for managing reservations, coordinating events, and leading the sales and direct marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, highly self-motivated, numbers driven and is creative enough to design and drive sales targets with our intended customer groups.
Responsibilities:
- Manage reservations
- This includes answering phone calls, responding to emails both on timely basis and handling walk-ins. The ideal candidate will have experience using a reservation system and be able to work effectively under pressure.
- Coordinate events and event logistics.
- This includes working with clients to create custom menus, booking entertainment, and managing logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating events in a high-end setting and be able to work with a variety of personalities.
- Collaborate with partners and coordinate events from start to finish and proactively lead and make recommendations of the sales and marketing efforts for all outlets closely with the GM of the restaurant.
- This includes developing and executing sales and marketing campaigns, generating leads. Experience in sales and marketing and be able to think creatively about how to reach new customers.
- Create awareness of the restaurants through cold calling, email marketing, and other channels
- Work closely with marketing to develop and execute sales and marketing campaigns.
- Make a list of companies and cold call to sell the venues.
- Offer packages to companies.
- Check daily for online comments and complaints and address it professionally with the right template.
- Daily fill in the entire guest list profiles in 7 Rooms
- Weekly advice the GM’s on the active data bases
- Constantly review our booking platforms for pre and post dinner emails sent. Ensure the number of emails that guest receive is appropriate and does not border on harassment.
- Work in harmony with other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
