Job Description:
To ensure the following by reviewing all technical documents of the Project from several stakeholders, as a minimum:
· The design meets the Tender Specifications of the Project as issued and amended periodically by Owner / Owner’s Engineer.
· Timely commissioning and completion of the Project by the warranting sequential flow of activities for smooth execution.
· Cost-effectiveness and value-for-money at all stages of the Project.
· Quality and reliability at all stages of the Project.
· Adequate technical risk control and Management and raising the flag on commercial impact due to technical decisions taken.
· Visiting the project site frequently during the execution of the Project and confirming safe practices during construction concerning Civil & Steel Structures discipline as stipulated in the tender documents.
· All design documents meet the code requirements and local regulations such as BCA and LTA.
Ensure all on-site inspection and testing activities are by the agreed quality procedures.
· Liaise closely with consultants and all other parties
· Lead in monthly project meetings with Owner / OE regarding Civil &Steel Structures discipline.
· Ensure submission of all documents as per Master Document List as submitted to Owner / OE
· Any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
· Degree in Civil Engineering
· At least 15 years of experience in power plant Civil design, engineering, construction, testing and commissioning in utility plant
· Strong leadership and management skills with a proactive approach.
· A good knowledge of International Codes of Practice and Standards.
· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
· Effective problem-solving skills.
· Works well in a team-oriented and cross-functional environment.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Strong in MS Office – Work, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Well knowledge of code requirements and local regulations such as BCA,NEA and LTA.
