Business Analyst (Banking/CBD/1 Year Contract/ Up to $7000)
• Support end to end processes of the system migration project
• Attend project workshops and understand the test scopes and requirements
• Review of Functional Scope Descriptions (FSD) and Business Solution Descriptions (BSD), User Acceptance Criteria (UAC) writing and product test cases and ensure sign offs from project team within timeline
• Collate and manage all the details regarding the new system applications for selected epics - information could span from details of systems interfacing, content of the various data being posted, data held within the application etc.
• Clear understanding the scope of the project, the changes associated and support the project lead in impact assessment.
• Actively partnering with multiple stakeholders in the solutioning process to ensure that the business solutions being implemented are thought through to ensure business as usual (BAU) activities can still function post migration.
• Assess and propose appropriate testing approach and sign off criteria to stakeholders and get concurrence.
• Overall User Acceptance Testing (UAT) management in terms of UAT timeline, batch run/ re-run and managing the tester’s testing result.
• Prepare proper documentation on the data flow, design, business solutioning and testing approach.
• Validate production data during parallel run and identify any red flags or discrepancies to tech and
• Support users community on business queries and guidance on better usage of the system on daily BAU activities post migration.
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting end-to-end processes of system migration projects.
- Ability to actively participate in project workshops and comprehend test scopes and requirements.
- Proficiency in reviewing Functional Scope Descriptions (FSD), Business Solution Descriptions (BSD), and User Acceptance Criteria (UAC), as well as writing and managing product test cases, ensuring timely sign-offs from the project team.
- Strong organizational skills to collate and manage all details related to new system applications, including system interfaces, data content, and application data.
- Clear understanding of project scope and changes, assisting the project lead in impact assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in solutioning processes to ensure smooth post-migration business operations.
- Experience in assessing and proposing appropriate testing approaches and sign-off criteria to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in managing overall User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, including timeline management, batch runs, re-runs, and overseeing testers' results.
- Strong documentation skills to prepare comprehensive documentation on data flow, design, business solutions, and testing approaches.
- Ability to validate production data during parallel runs, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or red flags in collaboration with technical teams.
- Capability to support user communities by addressing business queries and providing guidance on system usage for daily BAU activities post-migration.
