Job Description
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical asset allocation frameworks tailored to the specific risk-return objectives of the investment portfolio.
- Utilise both quantitative and qualitative methods to construct tactical asset allocation models, incorporating predictive signals to guide macro investing activities across equities, bonds, and alternative funds.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and quantitative research to identify investment opportunities and enhance portfolio diversification.
- Collaborate with other team members in the investment team to assess market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical developments to inform tactical asset allocation decisions.
- Utilise advanced financial modelling techniques and statistical tools to analyse investment strategies and evaluate portfolio performance.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in asset allocation, incorporating innovative approaches and methodologies to enhance investment processes.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in asset allocation, portfolio management, or quantitative research within a financial institution or investment management firm.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies.
- Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills, with hands-on experience in building tactical asset allocation models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R for data analysis and quantitative research.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate investment ideas and recommendations to senior management.
