Job Description
Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:
Research Assistant (1 year, Clinical Research and Public Health Projects)
We are looking for a Research Assistant for research projects on risk communication in clinical trials and public health research. The candidate will have the opportunity to undertake training/gain experience in health research.
Major duties of the Research Assistant will include:
- Conduct literature review
- Prepare and submit of human subject ethics protocols
- Construct and program online surveys
- Recruit research participants and assist with data collection and data analysis
- Assist with the editing and preparation of research reports and manuscripts
- Assist with the project management and provide secretarial support to the project(s)
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and (academic) writing skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary
- Be well-organized and have an eye for detail
- Knowledge of empirical research (e.g., clinical trials, surveys, interviews) and quantitative research methods in health and medicine
Preference will be given to candidates with the following experiences:
- Experience in conducting research in one or more of the following types of research: clinical trials, clinical/public health survey studies, qualitative studies
- Experience in analyzing data using statistical software (e.g., R or Stata).
- Have interest in clinical trials and public health research
