- Design and develop manufacturing processes and systems to meet production requirements and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through the implementation of innovative technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of product designs and provide input for design optimization.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support the selection and implementation of new equipment, tools, and technologies to enhance production efficiency and capacity.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues, minimize downtime, and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new manufacturing processes or product introductions.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel to ensure adherence to established procedures and best practices.
- Monitor and analyse production metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and track progress against operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols in all manufacturing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering roles, preferably in a relevant in assembly industry
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques, and principles, including lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools for process design and optimization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and continuous improvement methodologies.
