Job Summary:
Oversee and manage all aspects of surface treatment operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Surface Treatment department, including process engineers, technicians, and production staff.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives to optimize surface treatment processes, improve productivity, and meet production targets.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of surface treatment processes, including cleaning, etching, deposition, and coating, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to streamline operations and resolve any production issues or challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize cycle times while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to track departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control measures to ensure consistency and reliability in surface treatment processes.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the production team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Cleanroom design, setup, materials selection, and policy implementation.
- Implementation of copper segregation through area, equipment and tool segregation, operating protocols, training and policy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to surface treatment processes, and incorporate relevant changes into operations.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans for the Surface Treatment department.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on surface treatment processes.
- Proven track record of success in leading and managing production teams in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in surface treatment processes, including cleaning, etching, deposition, and coating techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a continuous improvement orientation.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, lean manufacturing principles, and industry regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis, process optimization, and performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Experience in quality improvement, cost reduction efforts, project management, data analysis, and process development.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast pace high volume manufacturing environment.
- Positive attitude with a keen eye for details and result oriented.
- Experience with parts kit management and cleaning. Strong background in cleaning process flow setup.
