This is a new Senior Finance Associate opportunity is with a global hedge fund based in Singapore. The position will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the intersection of finance and investment management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to support decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, including tax filings, financial reporting standards, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulators during audits and examinations.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies, particularly related to financial risks.
- Identify areas for process improvement and automation within the finance function.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a hedge fund or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and investment principles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools, and accounting software (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, QuickBooks).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and geographies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities.
