Responsibilities
- In charge of diving team and diving operations
- Supervise diving team in performing underwater construction work to inspect, repair,remove or install equipment and structures; including but not limited to:
- Underwater Rebar (simple)
- Underwater Formwork Finishing (gap closing only)
- Underwater Concrete Casting/Levelling
- Underwater Level Check with Surveyor
- Underwater Gas Cutting Works
- Underwater Welding
- Supervise and ensure diving team carries out work operations and tasks safely and in accordance with Singapore Standard SS 511:2018 - code of practice for diving at work.
- Ensure safety measures are in place and followed to prevent accidents or injury
- Maintain dive logs and report to document work done and any anomalies encountered during the dive
- Ensure and supervise maintenance for the diving equipment and tools
- Any other underwater jobs as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess relevant in-shore commercial diving SSDE Dive Supervisor certificates
- At least 150 recorded dives to be certified as a Dive Supervisor
- Certified medically fit to dive with up-to-date diving medical certificate
- High expertise in Emergency Response Plan
- Safety oriented and able to lead dive team in the carrying out of daily operations safely
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Possess good knowledge of the commercial diving techniques, safety procedures and equipment to be used in diving operations in which he is to participate/supervise
- Candidate should possess the physical fitness and endurance to carry out the duties of the job, including prolong periods of time underwater and carrying heavy equipment
