Primary Roles
To engineer new and innovative processes and improve productivity from existing processes in the Rotary Work Head assembly section.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective process strategies for in-house design Rotary Work Head Assembly Production.
- Rotary Work Head includes Direct Drive Rotary Table, Multi-axis Rotary Table and Pallet Changer.
- Production layout, assembly jigs & fixtures design.
- Work closely with relevant departments such as Research & Development (R&D), Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Production team, etc, to ensure smooth operation in Production.
- Ensure all process documentation is maintained and up to date.
- Ensure efficiency of production is maintained.
- Production data analysis and implement manufacturing improvement programs such as standard hour and throughput improvement, cost saving and process improvement initiatives etc., and resolve technical problems.
- Compile monthly reports and present during monthly MFG meetings.
- Execute risk assessments for specific tasks. Be aware of significant EHS risks, actual or potential in production processes.
- Ensure processes comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Work in line with quality, health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
- At least 5 years of working experience in machine tool building environment or related industries.
- Experience in precision manufacturing industry specifically in Rotary Work Head production will be added advantage.
- Experience in jig & fixture design using 3D CAD Design Software preferably SolidWorks.
- With good experience / knowledge in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies and process is an advantage.
- Have good initiative to learn and improve.
- Possess good project management skills, able to manage carious teams and internal project effectively.
- Effective communication skills with strong project management exposure.
- Be energetic and positive.
- Good organizational skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skill.
