About Our Client
The client is a dynamic and innovative organisation operating in the medical device industry. They are a global market leader in manufacturing in medical devices, with a focus on cutting-edge technology and advanced healthcare solutions, the organisation is dedicated to improving patient care and outcomes. Currently they are expanding their operations in Singapore and is looking for a Engineering Manager to join their team. Proven knowledge within the Engineering function in medical device manufacturing and familiar with Lean manufacturing principles.
Job Description
- Lead the technical team to meet the requirement of medical device industry and ensure effective problem solving methods
- Drive continuous improvement and oversee engineering projects
- Implement lead manufacturing principles, focus on value enhancement and cost reduction
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goals, taking proactive measures to resolve issues and enhance processes
- Manage project efficiently, ensure compliance and smooth business operations
- Direct project activities and resources to achieve organisation objectives
- Train and mentor the technical team
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Engineering Manager or in a similar role within the medical device manufacturing industry
- Prove knowledge and understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and standards e.g. FDA QSR, ISO 13485 etc.
- Experience in leading and managing a team
- Familiar with driving continuous improvement, Lean principles, manufacturing and product transfer experience
- Strong in problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to identify trends, analyse data and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams, customers, regulatory authorities
