About Our Client
Our client is a leading global manufacturer specializing in precision engineering. Their expertise lies in developing advanced technologies and techniques, which caters to mega-industries such as those within the Semiconductors, Automotive and Oil & Gas space. Our client offers comprehensive solutions to meet the precise needs of their clients, ensuring optimal results and cost-effectiveness across their global plants.
As a newly created position in-line with company expansion, they are now looking for a Group Financial Controller with a strong focus on financial reporting, consolidation, tax and treasury management and compliance. Reporting directly to the company CFO, this role will partner with regional finance managers and contribute to the overall process-improvement initiatives within the organization - following their successful investment from a well-known Private Equity.
Job Description
- Oversee group consolidation and the preparation of consolidated financial statements following International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure adherence to group accounting policies and IFRS across all accounting activities.
- Offer guidance to subsidiaries on accounting treatments and conduct regular group-wide training on accounting technical matters.
- Develop policies and guidelines, ensuring robust internal controls and corporate governance aligned with financial regulations, accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Play a pivotal role in implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to streamline finance processes, including process mapping review, master data governance, and user acceptance testing.
- Supervise monthly financials, review group statutory accounts, conduct comprehensive reviews of balance sheets and cash flows, identify variances to forecasts and budgets, and initiate necessary actions to achieve financial goals.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders such as tax agents, auditors, company secretary, bankers, and lawyers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and fulfill commitments.
- Manage Country-by-Country Reporting across 2-3 regions.
- Lead and support ad-hoc projects as assigned, including ERP implementation and Group transfer pricing studies.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or ACCA.
- 8+ years of relevant experience within finance operations.
- 3+ years of solid regional controllership experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Experience within an professional Audit firm would be highly beneficial.
- Past experience in cost accounting and regional consolidation.
- Prior experience in any ERP implementation projects would be highly beneficial.
- Strong finance leadership skills, ability to collaborate with finance teams across Asia.
- Hands-on, highly motivated, resilient, resourceful, capable of introducing frameworks and driving process improvements.
- Travel requirement: 20% - 30%
