My client is a global semiconductor company with leading edge technology to optimise its solutions to clients. It produces electrical components for devices of day to day usage and committed to improve its position in a global competitive landscape. The company has identified Singapore for its newest facility in R&D and is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to overseas full spectrum tax matters at HQ level.
Job Description
Reporting directly into the Group Tax Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for all tax matters including GST, witholding tax etc, an integral part of the Group tax function
- Business partner and collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure deliveries on audits and monthly reporting for the Group
- Streamline tax compliance reporting process, stay abreast of upcoming tax changes
- Address tax queries, audits and ongoing disputes with relevant tax authorities for Singapore
- Coordinate and/or prepare the Group's transfer pricing documents to ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements
- Support tax work streams for strategic M&A, including diligence and post-transaction integration
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelors Degree graduate in Accountancy with at least 5 years of working experience in Tax matters
- Big 4 tax candidates keen to pursue a commercial opportunity may apply for the role
- Technical knowledge and application of accounting standards, compliance to statutory reporting requirements
- Confident to engage with tax authorities, lead discussions with HQ leaders/parent company
- Meticulous with numbers, independent working style
