Our client is a Manufacturing MNC. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Procurement Engineer to join their Business Development team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the North.
Responsibilities
- Request quotes for mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities based on customer specifications or suggest alternatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, responsible for submitting component Bill of Materials.
- Implement cost reduction and alternate sourcing programs for new and existing projects.
- Manage supplier base, focusing on Quality, Delivery, Cost, and finalizing contracts.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to obtain First Article Approval.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Contribute to the company's risk management process in alignment with your role and responsibilities.
- Any ad-hoc duty as assigned
Requirement
- Min Diploma in Engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, VLookup and SAP
- Experience in procurement in mechanical component such as sheet metal & machining
