Job Description
Mechanical Commissioning Engineer shall be capable of performing the following:
· Prepare mechanical system commissioning procedure for all process systems including system flushing of water, steam blowing, and oil system flushing.
· Perform pre-commissioning checks and inspections to ensure that equipment and systems are properly installed and meet design specifications.
· Prepare temporary piping arrangements for flushing of water, steam, and oil systems. Perform system flushes and confirm final flush conditions meet the required standard.
· Identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions that arise during the mechanical commissioning process.
· Complete pre-commissioning documentation, including pump initial operation data, flush reports, steam blow reports, lubrication reports, final tank & vessel inspection, and closure reports.
· Organize and manage the work of the mechanical support labour.
· Coordinate with vendors for Site Acceptance Testing of Pumps, Fans, Air Compressors, Gas Compressors etc. ensuring they are performed correctly and record all initial operating data.
· Review and verify completeness of any vendor SAT and submit final documentation for final approval as part of the system turnover package.
· Read & understand the project specification with regards to mechanical equipment and ensure installation complies with the technical specification and report any errors to the Project Engineer.
· Manage and perform all routine maintenance on mechanical equipment in accordance with vendor requirements until plant handover to the OWNER. All routine maintenance to be recorded and records handed over at Plant handover to the customer.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the commissioning process.
· Participate in commissioning meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Commissioning Manager.
· Shall be nominated as a Senior Authorized Person (Mechanical) to isolate mechanical / process equipment, vent, drain, purge as necessary and prepare and issue PTW along with LOTO isolation on all mechanical / process equipment.
· Shall participate in system completion walkdown of all systems prior to handover from Construction to the Commissioning department.

Qualification & Experience
· 5-10 years of experience.
· Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate engineering or sciences discipline from a four-year accredited college or university.
· Proven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer of Combined Cycle Power Projects.
· Experienced in the supervision of personnel and team working.
· Understand systemization and system turnover process from Construction to Commissioning.
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, pump data sheets etc.
· Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
· Demonstrates a commitment to safety.
· Strong working knowledge of PTW / LOTO Procedure.
