Your responsibilities will include sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Job Scope:

  • Sourcing Suppliers: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiating Contracts: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Managing Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to facilitate smooth communication, resolve issues, and optimize procurement processes.
  • Processing Purchase Orders: Generate and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and budgetary constraints.
  • Monitoring Supply Chain: Monitor inventory levels and track delivery schedules to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory, optimizing the supply chain for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures, throughout the procurement process.
  • Analyzing Market Trends: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and management by providing insights and recommendations related to procurement expenditures and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks such as supply chain disruptions, supplier quality issues, and price fluctuations to ensure business continuity and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports, analyze procurement data, and provide insights to management regarding procurement performance, cost savings, and efficiency improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments such as finance, operations, and logistics to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals and objectives.



Minimum qualification is Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as:

Business Administration: A diploma or degree in business administration provides a broad understanding of various business functions, including procurement, supply chain management, finance, and operations.


Supply Chain Management: A diploma or degree specifically focused on supply chain management equips individuals with specialized knowledge and skills in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.


Purchasing and Procurement: Some educational institutions offer diplomas or certificates specifically tailored to purchasing and procurement, providing in-depth knowledge of procurement processes, negotiation strategies, contract management, and supplier selection.


Logistics and Operations Management: Diplomas or degrees in logistics and operations management cover a range of topics related to managing the flow of goods and services, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.


Finance or Economics: A background in finance or economics can also be relevant for a procurement executive role, as it provides a solid understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, cost management, and risk assessment, which are important aspects of procurement.


In addition to formal education, we may also look for candidates with relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), which demonstrate a commitment to professional development and expertise in procurement practices.
