· Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures, including welding inspection and NDT techniques, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
· Conduct inspections and quality tests, including visual inspection of welds, on raw materials, components, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
· Utilize NDT methods such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, and radiographic testing to assess the integrity of welds and materials.
· Interpret welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME) to ensure compliance with welding procedures and specifications.
· Collaborate with welding and production teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures, including welding process improvements, to address quality issues and improve product reliability.
· Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken, including welding inspection reports, NDT reports, and certifications.
· Participate in product development and design reviews to provide input on quality requirements and specifications, including welding considerations.
· Conduct internal audits and assessments, including welding audits and inspections, to identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure adherence to quality management systems.
· Communicate quality issues, trends, and performance metrics to management and relevant stakeholders, including welding and NDT findings and recommendations.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all quality assurance activities, including welding operations.
· Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to quality assurance, quality control, welding, and NDT techniques.
· Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
· NDT certification (e.g., ASNT Level II or III certification in ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, radiographic testing).
· Experience in welding inspection, including visual inspection and interpretation of welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).
· Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
· Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
· Experience with quality control tools and techniques, including welding inspection and NDT methods.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
