We are a Single-Family Office (SFO) based in Singapore. Our principal is a Taiwanese family with businesses in the Food & Beverage industry across China and Taiwan.
Our SFO primarily manages the family’s investments and supports the family’s interests in the region out of the Singapore office.
Who we are looking for
We have created a new role in our Investment Office for an Alternative Assets Portfolio Manager to advise on and manage our Alternative Assets Portfolio including Venture Capital, Private Equity, Direct Investments, Real Assets, and other Alternative Assets for the SFO.
As one of the key team members, we are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager with proven P&L in the Alternative Assets Management industry who possesses strong familiarity with the Agriculture, Food & Beverage, Food Tech, and related businesses in ASEAN.
Ideally, as we are a close-knit team, the new team member should have a positive and mature disposition, coupled with a professional and team-player mindset.

Alternative Assets Portfolio Manager Roles and Responsibilities
Alternative Assets Portfolio
- Venture Capital Funds, Private Equity Funds, etc.
- Direct Investments, Private Placement, Strategic Investments, etc.
- Other Alternative Asset classes.
Portfolio Management and P/L Ownership
- Responsible for the Profit and Loss of the Alternative Asset Portfolio.
- Advise on current portfolio and strategise future investments.
- Update and analyse market developments and outlook.
- Execute market orders and transactions.
Family Foundation and Family Businesses' Corporate Venture Capital
- Support the Family Foundation’s entrepreneur accelerator arm in further developing an ASEAN ecosystem and other related matters.
- Support the Family Businesses’ Corporate Venture Capital arm with their Strategic Investments in ASEAN.
Office Administrative Matters
- Portfolio reporting and investment dashboard.
- Investment Meeting scheduling & logistics coordination.
- Accounting, Compliance, and other related administrative requirements.
Other Matters
- Support family activities and meetings and any other related matters.
- Coordinate with relevant counterparties in related matters.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in the investment industry (VC, PE, etc) and/or Strategic Investments, M&A in an MNC corporate setting.
- Proven P&L experience as an alternative assets portfolio manager or relevant senior positions i.e M&A, Investment Banking, Strategic Investment, etc.
- Familiarity with the Agriculture, Food & Beverage, Food Technology, and related industries with a focus on ASEAN markets.
- Familiar with and able to travel around the APAC region for business development and deal-making.
- Graduate from top universities, preferably with a post-graduate qualification.
- Bilingual proficiency (spoken and written) in both English and Chinese languages.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Independent and mature team player with a long-term mindset.
- Professional with good character who values trust and honesty.
Hiring Process
- Shortlisted Candidates shall be invited for a face-to-face interview with the SFO’s team members starting from May 2024.
- Successful 1st Round Candidates shall be invited for a 2nd round interview meeting with the SFO’s principal and SFO’s CEO.
- Final candidate shall be made an offer after the 2nd round interview and expected to start in Q3 2024.
