Avetics is hiring for R&D Engineer. The job holder will be responsible for the following activities
Conceptualization and Design: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize drone projects based on client requirements, market trends, and technological advancements. Designing drone systems, components, and subsystems using CAD software and engineering principles.
Prototype Development: Building and testing prototypes of drones and drone-related systems to validate design concepts and functionalities. Conducting performance evaluations, simulations, and analyses to optimize drone performance and capabilities.
System Integration: Integrating drone hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems to create fully functional drone platforms. Ensuring compatibility, reliability, and efficiency of integrated systems through rigorous testing and validation.
Flight Testing and Validation: Conducting flight tests and field trials to assess drone performance, stability, maneuverability, and safety. Analyzing test data, identifying issues, and implementing improvements to enhance drone functionality and reliability.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring drones and drone systems comply with regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices. Collaborating with regulatory agencies to obtain certifications and approvals for drone operations.
Research and Innovation: Staying updated with the latest advancements in drone technology, materials, sensors, and propulsion systems. Conducting research and experiments to innovate and develop new features, capabilities, and applications for drones.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, clients, and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project goals, and communicate project progress. Presenting technical findings, reports, and recommendations to management and clients.
Quality Assurance and Reliability: Implementing quality assurance processes, standards, and methodologies to ensure drone systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. Conducting reliability testing, failure analysis, and risk assessments to mitigate potential issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Documenting design specifications, test procedures, results, and technical documentation related to drone development projects. Generating reports, presentations, and documentation for internal use and client presentations.
Continuous Learning and Improvement: Continuously learning and improving technical skills, knowledge, and industry trends related to drone technology. Participating in training programs, workshops, and conferences to stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.Create and maintain digital models of buildings and infrastructure using BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD or Bentley system.
BIM Modelling: Developed plan, section, and drawings from BIM models with sufficient detail and annotation
Monitored BIM model and shop drawing creation and revision.
Assisted in updating and archival of 3D models for as-built records and submission to clients, authorities, and relevant documentation
Assist in modelling building components, extract quantities, produce 2D drawings and documentation
Any other duties assigned from supervisor from time to time
Requirements
- Degree/Masters in engineering/IT or equivalent
- 0 - 2 years of work experience using Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD or Bentley systems
- Enjoys working with voluminous data sets
- Able to navigate through ambiguity and able to be hands on to cope with various work situations.
