Senior Engineer, Engineering Services
Main Objective:
•Design, development and testing
•He / She will be trained on connection products and testing for 3-6 months in the USA within the first year of employment.
•He / She will develop deep understanding in connection test protocols, including API 5C5, ISO 13679, ISO 13685.
•He / She will identify the testing needs in APAC and engage customers to specify testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
•Review technical specifications from customers.
•Engage customers on technical qualification and identify product development and testing needs of strategic importance.
•Track and analyse the market trend in testing.
•Prepare product development and testing proposal.
•Develop test procedures, monitor test progress and write reports
•Perform FEA and evaluate structural and sealing performance of products.
•Make technical presentation
•Actively participate and involve in appropriate development of HSE matters in areas of hazard / incident identifications, risk assessments and determination of controls
•Ensure work activities and behavior achieved conformity to the HSE policy, objectives and procedures outlined in the HSE management system and compliance to applicable local legal requirements
•In addition to these duties/responsibilities employee is required to carry out all additional duties as & when directed & required by QHSE manager
Person Specification
Knowledge and Skills:
•Understanding oil & gas drilling and completion is an advantage.
•Strong technical skills in mechanical or structural design and structural testing.
•Strong technical skills in Finite Element Analysis for structural and contact analysis.
•Knowledge in low alloy steels and corrosion resistant alloys and the related specifications (e.g. ASTM, API, NACE).
•Demonstrated ability to learn new skills.
•Experienced in engaging customers.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering field
Experience:
•At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the upstream Oil and Gas industry.
