To assist Finance Manager in maintaining full set of accounts - AP, AR, GL for entities assigned.
- Assist to ensure proper accounting records are maintained and procedures are adhered to
- Enter transactions relating to sales, purchases, receivables, payables and cash disbursements accurately in the accounting system
- Monitor & update all payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Assist in accounting of fixed assets and depreciation, keying in journal entries
- Process payments to vendors and handle suppliers’ enquiries and any payment related issues
- Pay employees’ claims by verifying claims applications and receipts
- Assist in month-end closing, monthly reconciliations and reporting
- Filing of GST, tax and other returns
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the accountant/Finance manager
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in accounting or equivalent
- 2-3 years relevant working experience, particularly in stock accounting
- Knowledge of Million accounting software is an added advantage
- Able to commit to 5.5 days/week (alternate Saturday)
- Possess initiative, flexibility and willingness to learn
- Independent and meticulous
- Team player with good communication skills
- Able to start immediately or within a short notice
