Job Description:
· Keep tabs on regulatory changes from MAS & FSC, ensuring timely updates are communicated with the Taiwan Head Office.
· Help assess the implications of new regulations on wealth management operations and suggest updates to policies accordingly.
· Provide support in organizing and facilitating training programs related to policy updates.
· Assist in the preparation and distribution of MIS and regulatory compliance reports for the Head Office and local branch.
· Aid in the annual Operational Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for the branch, contributing to internal audit activities.
· Support the analysis of the department’s performance against defined KPIs.
· Contribute to the review of the Bank’s policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to both internal guidelines and external regulatory demands.
· Take part in project teams tasked with responding to regulatory shifts, implementing new processes, conducting remediation, and facilitating audits, including the verification of client data integrity through KYC, CDD, and EDD.
· Play a role in the deployment of new business initiatives and products, partake in system testing, and document the Product Due Diligence (PDD) process.
· Assist in analyzing market trends to inform responses to PDD outcomes.
· Support the creation of periodic business performance reports.
· Coordinate meeting logistics, prepare presentation materials, and accurately record minutes.
· Help manage the daily dissemination of product monitoring findings, oversee the announcement of new products, and maintain current wealth management information.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
· At least 3 years of relevant experience in Banking industry; with focus in the field of wealth management, retail banking or private banking would be an advantage.
· Broad knowledge of rules and regulations for various Asia jurisdictions (particularly in Taiwan and Singapore)
· Ability to identify and focus on issues at a holistic level and yet be detailed oriented and independence in thinking when analysing.
· Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency bilingual as successful candidate is required to prepare email correspondence and periodic reports in English and Chinese for overseas branches and HQ in Taiwan.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment where multitasking is the norm and ability to handle escalations and drive to resolutions.
