Lead, manage, motivate teams in order to contribute the revenue and gross profit budget of the freight department
· Set up procedures, guidelines, workflow for day-to-day operation activities to ensure compliance with rules and regulations of international freight laws
· Establish and keep abreast of updated standard export/import local charges in the industry as well as freight consolidation business market, through market intelligence and research, to improve competitiveness and profitability at all times
· To resolve any escalated matter in relation with day to day operation and implement process improvement by liasing closely with customers and other external parties
· Monitor and improve team productivity, efficiency, morale and team spirit and to handle other manpower related concerns
· In charge of Freight Customers P&L
· Establish Standard Operational Procedures to achieve all Customers Key Performance Indicators requirement and work closely on regular basis with external and internal parties to accomplish KPI expectations set by customers.
• Build good rapport with Freight customers and overseas agents to improve business support
• Prepare and update quotation for Freight customers whenever required to ensure sustainable and acceptable margin
• Liaison with overseas agents for day to day shipment inquiries which covers ,but not limited to, agent nomination rates, door services, cargo acceptance and analysis such as oversized cargo, DG cargo, dutiable cargo, project cargo, etc
• Prepare weekly report activities of key customer of Freight Operations and any other major activities of the week
• Prepare Budget for Freight Operations
• Any ad-hoc duties as required by Managing Director
Requirement:
- Minimum 8 years relevant seafreight experience with supervisory skills required
- Minimum a relevant degree qualification
- Has experience in building and maintaining customer relationships
- Possess good interpersonal skills with a pleasant personality
