KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate project transfers from our Singapore and UK R&D to Production, and maintain the product over its lifespan with hardware, firmware and software enhancements.
Design analogue and digital source controllers and streamer recording systems for the marine seismic industry, including architecture, high speed telemetry, high voltage management, hardware/firmware/data management.
Design discrete complex electronic systems and sub-systems, comprising elements of analogue, digital, RF and sensing technology.
Bring products which meet the rigorous requirements of marine seismic surveying from concept to fulfilment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Engineering Degree, specialising in Electronics or Computer Science.
Extensive knowledge of the marine seismic source and acquisition environment and platform.
Min 10 years’ experience in electronics design, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
In-depth knowledge of RF systems, including GNSS, ISM/GSM and UHF transceiver technologies.
Other essential areas of knowledge include low noise amplifier design, ADC and DAC circuit integration, fiber optic media converter design, power supply design (including high voltage), design for compliance and full certification to European and US standards, embedded design (C, C++, Python), FPGA and CPLD programming (VHDL), digital and analogue circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout to very high standards.
Excellent written and spoken English, able to communicate effectively and professionally.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Confident, proactive, responsible, a team player, and comfortable working in an international environment.
Willing to travel (internationally and offshore) for business/technical meetings, if required.
