TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER

As Senior Technical Support Executive, you review and study technical requirement, liaise with principal and customer and provide innovative technical solutions to customers, add value to their operations and strengthen relationships with them. You will play a vital role in guiding and supporting the team in technical matters and problem solving.


What will you deliver?

-Provide pre and post-sales support to Sales personnel, including solution optimization, create proposal and attending technical clarifications meeting and/or presentation with customers

-Post sales support which involves troubleshooting at site, simple commissioning activities, etc, to help resolve customer issue.

-Perform design and prepare engineering drawings and documentation as per customer’s requirements

-Provide technical support and/or propose alternative technical solutions to meet customer’s requirements.

-Develop automation application-related knowledge, execution with demo setups, and assist in customer conversions by demonstrating domain knowledge and commercial sensitivity.

-Provide technical advice to customers for their application requirements based on latest technology and product offerings. And to provide solution offering updates to customers.

-Review and analyze product configurations and components, perform engineering calculations (if required), including drafting

-Coordinate with Principal vendors on training, product updates and support, etc.

-Handle project documentation

-Build up principal relationship and provide customers’ feedback to principal for service and/or products enhancements.

-Value-add to customers’ needs and strengthen relationships with them.

-Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical support. Act as a subject matter expert on various frameworks used in development of processes.

-Analyse complex challenges and provide innovative and practical solutions to the team.

-Facilitate discussions and brainstorming sessions to find effective resolutions.


Key Qualifications

•Bachelor degree or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Automation/Control engineering or related discipline.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad & 3D drawing

•Candidates familiar with Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLC series and Phoenix Contact solutions, automation application experience will be preferred.

•Able to work independently with drive & initiative

•Good team player with ability to work independently and under pressure

•Problem solving, strong analytical skills

•Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide solution demonstration and presentation to customer.

•Proven track record to build relationships, influence customers at all levels and service-oriented
