Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The Finance Manager ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, and that financial statements are prepared in a timely manner. The Finance Manager also manages a team of accounting professionals and ensures that they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting function, including month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage and supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing meaningful insights to management and other stakeholders.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial guidance and support to department heads and senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and vendors.
- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure their success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, experience with ERP systems preferred.
