Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day construction activities of the project.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior/Project Manager regarding project progress compared to the baseline, including any identified issues and risks.
- Conduct safety inspections (VSCC) and ensure adherence to ship work safety standards and cleanliness.
- Coordinate with various trades to ensure that construction activities are carried out safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Develop and implement cost-effective construction plans to support project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure proper documentation of all changes to specifications, work scope, and drawings.
- Review estimated man-hours, project duration, and resource requirements.
- Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance, investigating any deviations from expected performance.
- Collaborate with the Senior/Project Manager to manage project schedule, cost-to-completion (CTC), and percentage of completion (POC).
- Conduct progress meetings to address any issues and manage project challenges.
- Take responsibility for project planning, scheduling, and cost management.
- Provide support for project tenders and fulfill any other ad-hoc project duties as needed.
- Handle warranty issues and ensure customer satisfaction at the project site, maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Marine / Mechanical / Naval Architecture
- Successful candidate for this position myst have at least 3 years of project experience in New Ship Build / Ship Repair / Conversion
- Project Experience in Risk Management, Project Costing, Scheduling, CRM
