About the Role
Our client , an astrology school focused on practical applications of astrology, is seeking a junior-level videographer and video editor for ongoing work. The client runs a YouTube channel and aims to upgrade their videography and editing quality. The primary content involves recording talking head or sit-down podcast-style discussions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for video editing and potentially videography, depending on the agreed fee.
Beyond video elements, the editor will be required to extract audio for Spotify uploads and create short clips for Instagram. The work will be conducted bi-weekly for long-form videos (around 13-20 minutes) and approximately 5 short clips per month.
Responsibilities:
- Record and capture high-quality video footage for talking head or podcast-style discussions.
- Edit the raw footage into polished, engaging long-form videos (13-20 minutes) for YouTube.
- Extract audio from the video content for repurposing on Spotify.
- Create short video clips (approximately 5 per month) for Instagram promotion.
- Collaborate with the client to understand their vision and incorporate feedback into the final products.
- Junior-level experience as a videographer and video editor, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of videography techniques, including framing, lighting, and audio capture.
- Ability to create visually appealing and engaging content in styles similar to Mark Manson and Joe Scott on YouTube.
