Technical Writer
Location – Singapore
NTT Data is seeking an experienced Technical Writer with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the IT System Integrator industry. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical documentation and instructional materials to support our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and project managers to gather technical information and understand complex IT system integration concepts.
- Create clear and concise documentation, including but not limited to, tender proposals, requirements / functional / technical specifications, user manuals or guides, references, and release notes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
- Conduct thorough research and gain a deep understanding of our projects and services to effectively explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Review and edit existing documentation to improve clarity, consistency, and overall quality.
- Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in technical documentation.
- Organize, maintain, and update a comprehensive library of technical documents, templates, and style guides.
- Collaborate with the project / marketing team to create customer-focused content, to enhance documentations, project / product knowledge and attract potential audience.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices within the IT system integrator industry to uphold the highest standards of documentation quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record as a Technical Writer in the IT System Integrator industry, with at least 5 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of IT system integration concepts, network infrastructure, cloud computing, and software development methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, or other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Portfolio showcasing previous technical writing samples preferred.
