Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with partner divisions and project teams to assist in funding requests, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and 3-year projections. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring timely completion of month/year-end close activities, such as accruals, with partner divisions
- Monitoring and analyzing operating revenue, expenses, and capital expenditure utilization against budget and funding sources
- Preparing and presenting financial performance, full year forecasts, and budget variances to stakeholders, along with recommendations and highlighting key variances and areas for improvement
- Providing financial insights to business units to facilitate timely decision-making
- Collaborating with partner divisions and project teams on monthly forecasts, annual budgets, revised budget submissions, and presenting to stakeholders for approval, recommending modifications as needed
- Monitoring fixed and variable costs to identify cost drivers and enhance budget accuracy
- Reviewing and providing input on financial matters related to funding requests, quarterly project reporting, and end-of-project reporting
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, internal memos, and government policies
- Maintaining ongoing engagement with business units to stay informed of business developments
- Establishing partnerships and fostering strong relationships with business units
- Undertaking ad hoc projects, analysis work, or other assigned duties as needed
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/ACCA or a relevant professional accounting qualification, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Previous experience in Finance Business Partner roles within the Technology industry is highly desirable.
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling abilities are essential. The ability to create insightful presentations and effectively communicate the business narrative to influence and establish trust as a valued business partner is crucial.
- Strong interpersonal skills are a must, with the capability to cultivate relationships, manage stakeholders, and communicate effectively across all levels. Additionally, possessing strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to think creatively and strategically is key.
- A positive, can-do attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large amounts of data and perform hands-on tasks are necessary qualities. Adaptability to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and comfort in proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change are also vital skills.
- Strong MS applications skills ( Power BI , Tableau. Programming knowledge will be an added advantage)
- Proficient in Workday, Dashboarding tools and Microsoft Office such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power Pivot, Power Query,
