Job Description
- Lead the accounting team to perform month end closing for our Singapore entities.
- Prepare, review and submit monthly, quarterly and yearly reports to HQ.
- Liaise with HQ auditor and Singapore statutory auditor to ensure good presentation of financial statements and timely readiness of audited accounts.
- Collate, track and report monthly business performance results for our trading desks and shipping company.
- Review and reconcile monthly P&L with our Risk Department.
- Review accounting and reporting processes and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, financial reporting standards (FRS) and statutory audit requirements.
- Plan, manage and liaise with tax consultants to ensure timely submission and compliance for Corporate tax, transfer pricing and GST matters.
- Liaise with Enterprise Singapore and Marine & Port Authority of Singapore on the requirements for tax incentive schemes.
- Any other ad-hoc assignments.
Job Requirement
- Degree in accounting or related disciplines.
- At least 8 years relevant experience in commodity trading with knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
- Knowledge of China Financial Reporting Standards is an added advantage
- Proficiency in SAP and excel is preferred.
- Good interpersonal, decision and problem-solving skills.
