Responsibilities:
- Responsible for tax compliance for MAP and assist in the timely preparation and filing of tax related reports in compliance with local regulations and internal policies and supporting affiliates within required timeframe.
- Support and oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounts closing processes, including the approval of journal entries.
- Support both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounting and tax matters.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting and tax-related activities.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and tax laws to ensure compliance and recommend best practices.
- Offer professional accounting and tax advice to the departments and affiliates across AP region, and collaborate with relevant parties, ensuring adherence to regulations and optimizing tax management practices.
- Supervisory and guidance to the staff and other ad hoc duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in MNC or Shared Service Environment.
- Ad hoc travelling is needed.
- Knowledge of regional tax regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in transfer pricing and indirect taxes (such as GST/VAT)
- Knowledge of Japanese tax regulation, such as taxation on Controlled Foreign Subsidiary.
- Knowledge on compliance and reporting.
