We are seeking an Senior Executive, Insurance, to join our team and assist in managing global insurance portfolios. The role involves overseeing insurance operations, contract reviews, claims handling, and fostering business partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to strategize cover arrangements, premiums, and recoveries.
- Liaise proactively with brokers to address coverage issues promptly.
- Follow up on claims in coordination with the operational team for efficient resolution.
- Ensure the timely renewal of annual insurance policies on a global scale.
- Review policy wordings and contracts, ensuring alignment with existing insurance covers.
- File and promptly notify claims to brokers/underwriters.
- Maximize claims recovery through effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide comprehensive training to stakeholders on the streamlined submission of insurance claims.
- Identify loss trends and severity, offering insightful recommendations for corrective actions.
- Generate monthly reports on claims trends and incident frequency for informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Engineering/Business/Insurance.
- Possess 3 to 5 years of valuable experience in the insurance industry.
- Demonstrate familiarity with insurance policies prevalent in the shipping industry.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and a logical approach to tasks.
- Display proficiency in numerical and verbal communication.
- Showcase excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction at all levels within the business.
