Technical Superintendent
Job Description
• Monitor all vessel’s technical activities , maintain, drive, supervise and implement robust technical standards, systems and processes.
• Coordinate and provide support for dry-docking, overhauling, maintenance, and surveys.
• Provide support to ensure vessel compliance on all technical, class & flag state requirements.
• Ensure proper up to date records are prepared during and on completion of dry-docking and repairs for actual and anticipated expenditure as well as quality of the works and products involved.
• Work together with Operations, Purchasing, Accounts, and Crewing and HSSQE departments on day to day basis to ensure full operations of the Fleet
• Any other projects or responsibilities assigned by the top management.
Job Requirement
• Diploma or equivalent in Marine Engineering;
• Hold Certificate of Competency III/2 (for Chief Engineer) under STCW Code
• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as Technical Superintendent;
• Tanker experience preferred;
• Good knowledge of SIRE inspections;
• Analytical, problem solving, time management and decision-making skills;
• Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner;
• Demonstrates leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills.
