Job Description
- Responsible for planning and supervising the structural works of building and infrastructure construction.
- Preparation of day to day reports of the construction works.
- Coordinates daily construction activities at the worksite to meet the project's progress and quality goals.
- Engineer has to ensure that all structural work is carried out in accordance with the design plan, and the relevant construction regulations such as workplace safety and health are adhered to.
- Provide sufficient advice and supervision when there are any technical issues.
- Procurement of resources to get the materials as per the correct specifications.
- Besides supervising contractors and workers to complete the project within the given budget and time frame.
- Assures the work is completed and delivered without any defect and delay
Requirements
- Degree/diploma in civil/construction engineering
- Strong skills in analysis and problem solving
- Strong ability to supervise tendering procedures and compile job specifications
- Ability to carry out effective technical and feasibility studies, as well as site investigations
- Ability to effectively monitor and drive project activities
- Possess strong organizational and site management skills to effectively coordinate site activities
- Profound ability to carry out safety analyses and stability and quality control
- Ability to effectively work with professionals from other fields, including subcontractors and architects
- Strong ability to plan and manage project resources and budgets
- Excellent in the use of relevant civil engineering software programs, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
