Job Description: Dental Clinic Assistant
Duties & Responsibilities
Front Desk
- Managing the front desk including answering inquiries via phone/email/walk-ins, scheduling of appointments and patient registration
- Maintaining accurate patient records, including relevant medical history
- Discharging patients including dispensing medication, payment collection, and scheduling of the next appointment
- Maintaining rapport with patients
- Liaising with dental labs for collection and receipt of lab cases
- Maintain record of received supplies into clinic inventory system
- Maintain record of dental insurance/CHAS/Medisave attendance and submit claims upon discharging patients accurately
- Ad hoc minor admin tasks, when necessary
Dental Assisting
- Prepare treatment room, instruments, equipment and materials required for dental procedures
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Maintain infection control and sterilisation standards of all dental instruments, equipment, materials and environment
- Assist in Dentists/Hygienist in preparing patients for dental x-rays
- Casting of dental models for lab work, fabrication of temporary splints/retainers where required
- Perform general housekeeping to ensure the cleanliness of the clinic
Requirements
- Candidates should ideally possess minimum GCE ‘N’/’O’ Levels or equivalent
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Willing to perform rotating shift work and commit to one weekend (5-6 days work week, 44 hrs/week)
- Experience preferred but on the job training will be provided for those with no prior experience
- IT literacy preferred
- Knowledge of Mandarin dialect is preferred due to the high volume of Mandarin dialect inquiries on a daily basis.

Remuneration
- S$2,000 - S$2,500 (depending on relevant experience)
