Automation Tester (Selenium)

We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester with Selinium to join our dynamic team. This is on a 12 months contract basis.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for software testing and automation, with experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks. As an Automation Tester, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement automated test scripts using testing tools and frameworks.
2. Design, develop, and execute automated test suites to validate software functionality.
3. Identify, analyze, and report software defects to ensure timely resolution.
4. Collaborate with developers and other team members to understand software requirements and ensure test coverage.
5. Perform regression testing to validate software changes and enhancements.
6. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
7. Maintain and enhance existing automated test suites to keep pace with software updates and changes.
8. Provide input on testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices to improve overall test efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and practices.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar role.
3. Strong proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks especially in Selenium.
4. Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
5. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
6. Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
9. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
10. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, ASTQB).
2. Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
3. Knowledge of web services testing (RESTful APIs, SOAP).
4. Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
5. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
