We are looking for a Performance Tester on a 6-12 months contract basis to start with a possibility to extend further based on the performance and business needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understanding non-functional requirements, user stories, epics and developing performance test scenarios, test scripts, test data
- Should be able to develope Test Strategy, Plan for testing performance;
- Good understanding of the features and capabilities of industry-leading performance test tools such as HP LoadRunner.
- Builds and maintains a scalable, portable, configurable test scripts designed using HP LoadRunner tools.
- Design and build test scenarios that can simulate load scenarios.
- Perform volume, stress, load and endurance tests.
- Analyze scalability, throughput and load testing metrics against test servers.
- Compare system performance with varying levels of physical resources (RAM, CPU, Disk, Network, etc..)
- Measure, report, and recommend performance Response Time Guidelines/SLAs.
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in IT or Computer Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in using HP Load Runner.
- 2+ years of experience in performance testing using multiple protocols (must)| HTTP/HTTPS, web services (REST, SOAP, JSON)
- Experience building Performance Benchmarks and workloads, performance analysis.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and test case management systems.
- Proficient in scripting using Web (http/html), web services, TruClient, Performance, load, concurrent user and stress testing development, execution and publishing results.
- Understanding of monitoring tool such as perfmon, nmon, splunk, Wily APM, appDynamcis etc
