Our client is looking for a talent with experiences in designing plastic inject parts with dimensions smaller than the size of a name card.
Interested individuals with the necessary experiences must ensure that their resume is as detailed as possible in order to be considered for the position.
Main duties & Responsibilities
- Research, design and develop new and/or improved industrial sensors that meet customer requirements
- Provide design support for product modifications, cost reductions, function improvements, manufacturing process improvements and other technical support activities
- Create and manage design proposals, design specifications, engineering drawings, and other required technical documents
Perform FMEA, DFM, tolerance and other analysis prior to mass production - Create test plan and perform mechanical verification and support product verification and validation to fulfil product requirements
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to sustain the product lifecycle including customer complaints, tooling renewal, failure analysis, etc
- Liaising with Headquarter on the technical support and technology transfer
- Verify regulatory compliance (UL, CE, RoHS/REACH, etc.) with support from approval department
REQUIREMENTS
- Master/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Strong knowledge in design plastic moulding, metal injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication and other manufacturing technologies
- Good knowledge in mechanics, design theory, material science, inter-part bonding (plastic-to-plastic, metalto-plastic, etc.)
- Strong 2D & 3D CAD skills, SolidWorks is preferred
- Knowledge of optics will be an added value
- Open-minded, team player, creative, self-driven and willing to acquire new skills and grow in the position
