Job Description:
Our client is a CMS Licensed fund management company managing a quantitative global macro hedge fund with about USD 100m in AUM.
They are seeking a candidate for a Head of Operations/Compliance position to join their team. This position will liaise closely with the CEO and CIO to ensure smooth and effective operations. This position is based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision and operational strategy (individual contributor role)
- Develop an effective governance and controls framework encompassing policies and procedures, timely and appropriate management information and reporting of financials and compliance matters, risk management oversight (operational, compliance, cybersecurity)
- Responsibility and oversight for operational services provided by outsourced vendors/partners (Fund Administration, Legal, IT, Accountants, Regulators, etc.)
- Ensure that the AML & KYC of all investors is complete and remains adequate at all times
- Design and execute various strategic initiatives/projects to enhance business efficiency and growth
- Partner with internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence
- Develop networks and keep abreast of developments with peers in the industry

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders - regulators, investors, shareholders, service providers
- Strong grasp of the realities of good governance and risk management
- Comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business Management, or related fields
- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in compliance and operations of a fund management company
- Extensive knowledge in the rules/regulations and licensing regimes for various fund management structures - VCC, CMS
